Terms of Service

By visiting or using the services provided by Kiln LLC (“Kiln”) you agree to comply with, and be bound by the following Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.

Cancellation Policy

Public sauna reservations may be canceled or rescheduled up to 48-hours before the time of the reservation, and private sauna reservations may be canceled or rescheduled up to 168-hours (seven days), before the time of the reservation. Reservations cannot be canceled or rescheduled within 48-hours (for public sessions), or 168-hours (for private sessions), for any reason and will be charged in full. No shows will also be charged in full. Same day and next day bookings cannot be cancelled or rescheduled. Late arrivals will not receive extra time or compensation. Gift Cards and Packages are non-refundable. Packages are non-transferable.

We reserve the right to cancel sessions due to inclement weather or other extenuating circumstances. In this case you will be offered a refund or credit for a future reservation, and will be notified via email or text. 

Rules

For your safety and enjoyment, and the safety and enjoyment of others, please read and adhere to our rules and any instruction provided by our staff. Kiln and its staff reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who does not follow the rules. Failure to comply may result in becoming permanently banned from using our services, injury, or death.

  • Children ages 14 and under are not permitted in the sauna.

  • Children between the ages of 14 and 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian in the sauna at all times.

  • Pregnant women and persons affected by heart disease, diabetes, high or low blood pressure, circulatory or respiratory problems, seizures or epilepsy should not enter the sauna without seeking prior medical consultation.

  • Do not use the sauna while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Anyone suspected to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be asked to leave. 

  • Do not use the sauna if you are feeling ill, recovering from an illness, or have been exposed to illness.

  • Do not use the sauna if you have recently donated blood or plasma.

  • Bathing suits are required while using the sauna.  

  • Towels are required while using the sauna.

  • Shoes are not allowed in the sauna.

  • The surface of the rocks, heater, and surrounding area can be extremely hot. Exercise caution.

  • Prolonged use of any sauna is not recommended due to fatiguing effects. Limit yourself to a maximum of 30 minutes each round before taking a break.

  • Do not smoke, eat, or drink beverages other than water in the sauna.

  • Leave the sauna immediately if you experience any of the following: nausea, dizziness, hot flashes, cold chills, headaches or other discomfort.

  • Drink plenty of fluids before, during, and after leaving the sauna.

  • Only the water provided should be used on the heating rocks in the sauna.

  • Do not use the sauna to dry clothes, swimsuits or towels or place materials near the heater or the heater’s guard rail.

  • Rude and inappropriate behavior is prohibited at Kiln, and is up to the discretion of Kiln and its staff to determine. Anyone engaging in rude, lewd, discriminatory, or inappropriate behavior will be asked to leave. Anyone determined not to be following the rules of Kiln will be asked to leave. 

  • Use caution when exiting the sauna and entering the water. The area outside of the sauna may be slick or icy. 

  • Enter and exit the water by using the ladders on the side of the craft.

  • Do not enter the water alone, please ask a sauna guide or fellow guest to accompany you outside when entering the water.

  • Do not enter the water if you cannot swim. 

  • Use caution when entering the water, go slowly and let your body adjust to the temperature, if you feel uncomfortable do not continue.

  • Do not run on the dock or deck of the craft. 

  • Do not dive into the water. 

  • Please secure your belongings in the area provided before entering the sauna. Kiln is not responsible for items lost or stolen during sauna sessions.

  • Please arrive on time - late arrivals will not receive extra time or compensation.

Warnings

Use of a floating Sauna (the “Sauna”) at Kiln LLC (“Kiln”) can involve significant risk of bodily injury, death, and can create a risk to your health and well-being. These risks stem from the inherent nature of the activities associated with the use of Kiln.

To minimize risks and the possibility of death or injury, please follow all Rules (see above), and be aware of and adhere to all Warnings identified below.

Alcohol & Drugs

Alcohol is a diuretic, which can dehydrate you quickly. It can also impair your judgment, making it harder to listen to your body's warning signals. Do not consume alcohol or drugs before entering or while using the sauna. 

Illness, Health Conditions, & Medications

You should avoid using a sauna if you are ill, at risk of becoming ill, or recovering from an illness. You should avoid the use of the sauna if you've recently had a heart attack or a stroke. You should avoid using the sauna if you have any medical conditions that may increase the risk of adverse effects, including but not limited to very high or low blood pressure, certain heart conditions, or the use of certain medications that may impact your blood pressure or increase the risk of dehydration. Please consult with a medical professional if you have questions about any health conditions or medications that may impact your ability to safely use the sauna. 

Children & Pregnant Women

Please consult with a medical professional before using the sauna. 

Dehydration 

Sitting for extended periods in heat increases the possibility of dehydration, please exercise caution and drink lots of fluids before, during, and after using the sauna to prevent dehydration. 

Natural Cold Plunge

Entering any body of water carries the risk of injury, drowning, or death. Entering frigid water may additionally increase the risk of numbness, pain, hypothermia, and shock.  Please exercise extreme caution when entering the water alongside Kiln. Exit the water immediately if you feel any discomfort. Do not dive into the water. Do not enter the water alone. Do not enter the water during a thunderstorm or severe weather.

Dock Safety

The dock and deck area surrounding Kiln may be slick and or icy. Please exercise caution to prevent slips and falls. Please use the railings when walking on the ramp. If you have mobility or balance concerns please ask for assistance and exercise additional caution.
